Agensi Kaunseling Dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK)
Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia, wishes to advise the public that all its services are provided free of charge. The services offered include credit counselling, financial education and debt management and are available at all its 11 branches and 10 credit counselling offices nationwide.

AKPK wishes to confirm that it has never appointed nor authorised anyone to act as an intermediary or an agent to provide its services to the public. Therefore, the public is advised to approach AKPK’s counsellors directly instead of engaging third-party services for access to its services.

En Mohamed Khalil Jamaldin, Head of AKPK’s Corporate Communications Department, informed, “We have received some reports regarding the conduct of some irresponsible parties who charge their customers a fee citing that the payment is for AKPK’s services. We have never accepted any payment for our services as we continue to look for more avenues to reach out to the public.”

He added, “In order to better serve the public, we have also extended our business hours on Saturday (9am to 1 pm) at our headquarters in Maju Junction, Kuala Lumpur. This is to cater for the working adults who are otherwise unable to see a counsellor on a weekday. To book an appointment, please call our toll free infoline at 1-800-88-2575.”

Should you be approached by individuals soliciting AKPK’s services in exchange of a payment, please do not accept these services. Instead, please report this occurrence to the Head of Corporate Communications, En Mohamed Khalil Jamaldin at 03-2610 5520 or 012-219 2344 - Harakah daily
