Bukit Bintang Blast Culprits Will Be Punished | Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak vowed that authorities would track down and punish the perpetrators of the bomb explosion in Bukit Bintang on Thursday morning.
“I condemn in the strongest terms the violence that occurred this morning in Bukit Bintang.
“Such lawlessness will not be tolerated. Police investigations are underway and the perpetrators of this crime will be found and brought to justice,” said Najib in response to the attack.
Military grade hand grenades were believed to have been used in the blast.
Deputy Kuala Lumpur CID chief Khairi Ahrasa said the grenades were like sources from overseas for the attack on the Cherry Blossom Club in Sun Complex, Bukit Bintang at 4.25am.
Police also said the blast which killed car jockey Tiong Kwang Yie, 36, and injured 13 others was believed to be the work of more than one person and might be due to gang turf war or business feud.
It is believed that police have several leads on the suspects behind the attack - BH online
